Welcome to Briefly 1.33, also known as our Forillon Release.

It’s a big’un. In fact, Briefly 1.33 sees the arrival of our most requested feature ever.

Here's what we shipped...

Business Docs → Briefs that rock

Imagine if you could remember every research report, analytics request, and legal consideration. Now you can.

Word docs, PPTs, PDFs, spreadsheets, a cute photo of you and your CFO - any document in your business can now be added to your Brand Canvas. That means fewer insights lost to the sands of OneDrive and more briefs that are rich in insight and grounded in your business’ data.

Here are 3 ways to make the most of Doc Upload today:

1. Learn from last time
   Grab any past campaign reports you might have and add them to your Brand Canvas. Then, the next time you’re briefing in Social statics, Briefly will automatically add your learnings from last time. Did someone say continuous improvement?

2. Breeze through Considerations
   Add that 25 page Brand Guidelines PPT that no one ever reads to your Brand Canvas. Then let Briefly ensure that any relevant considerations are added to your next brief. So you can send fewer emails reminding designers that they can’t turn your logo pink.

3. Interrogate your audience research
   Before you send that email to Mike from Analytics, upload those lengthy research docs that are scattered across your inbox, then ask Briefly (press ‘/’ when writing a brief) to pull out  insights that might be useful for your current brief.

Last week we had a mini-release (Briefly 1.32) that made it possible to create multiple Brand Canvases. We've loved seeing the creative uses you've found for these new spaces.

The settings menus were the very first bits of Briefly that we built. And, as new features and customisation became available, they grew to be pretty unwieldy. Or as one user put it, “it’s kinda f****ed”. They’re now simpler, smarter and prettier. Enjoy.
