Briefly 1.12: Welcome to Cairngorms

This is Cairngorms, our third update of 2024! This is a smaller release - but it contains one of our most powerful upgrades.

Here's what we shipped...

Lightning-fast, real-time collaboration

Now everyone can get in on the fun.

Multiple people can work on the same brief, at the same time - with near-zero lag on document updates.

Building this feature required us to re-engineer how we create, process and save briefs in our databases. So, you can now collaborate in real time. But, perhaps more importantly, this work also paves the way for key features in future releases (more on that in a minute).

It's also one of our most fun updates, since you can now watch your team mistype the word "optimisation" as it happens.

See the data that powers your Business Intelligence Engine

The next time you sign in to Briefly, you'll notice a new tab in your Account page. The Intel tab takes you to an overview of the documents that fuel your organisation's Biz Intel engine. For now you can download or view the documents right from the platform, and we'll keep building ways for you to interact with your docs.

Remember that you can chat with your documents from inside a brief using Ask Briefly!

• Improved Doc Search
  We've already begun work on this, but as we continually improve our intel retrieval systems you'll see better and more accurate responses when you chat to your data using Ask Briefly.
