How being weird can work for you

Flora, a dairy-alternative brand, asked a simple question: "Isn't it weird that we use cows to process plants into dairy?" That question led to a brand platform, "Skip the cow", and a series of funny - and weird - campaigns.

How being weird can work for you

In this execution on the "Skip the cow" brand platform, we sweep from a shot of Flora Plant Butter and some 'buttery' mash to someone playing the cello beside Susan the cow. We hear a VO: "Is it a bit weird we spent all those years pumping the plants through a cow?" Susan nods. It's weird. It's funny. And it's a lesson in consistency. Flora have found many ways to create similarly funny work on this same insight - which is particularly important when you don't just want to sell product, but you want to see a change in the way people think.
