Piggybacking on a cultural celebration
How can you make your product the centre of a cultural event as big as the Lunar New Year? Lay's paired a bag of their crisps with some clever AI and found out how...

Playing into the Lunar New Year tradition of using fortune sticks to foretell the future, Lay’s in Taiwan created its own spin on the custom, asking people to use a bag of crisps instead. A photo of a Lay’s crisp could be submitted via the dedicated Fortune Telling Chips website, with an AI tool supplying its prediction. The campaign generated over 200k fortune predictions within a week and and grew their social following by 18%.
